Japan Chamber Music Foundation has launched the research about “String Quartets(Ensembles) in Residence” which provides a string quartet or other ensemble form the persistent opportunity of teaching or performance by schools/colleges/universities, museums, institutions or such kind of arts (or non-arts) organizations. This research aims to study “String Quartet (Ensemble) in Residence” as a system helping the permanent chamber music ensembles to survive in the music industry through giving them yearly activities and regular income.

While we have listed 142 ensembles as the attached image, there may be more ensembles which have the experience of persistent resident activity. If you know about more information about the resident ensembles, please let us know through the online form here below. 

The form requests “Ensemble name”, “Location of Resident activity”, “Source of the information” and “Your name (optionally)”.

日本室内楽振興財団は、音楽学校、大学、美術館、芸術団体（又は芸術以外の団体）による、弦楽四重奏団やその他のアンサンブルに継続的な指導や演奏活動の機会を提供する「クァルテット・イン・レジデンス（その他のアンサンブルの形態も含む）」における研究を開始しました。

この研究は、常設の室内楽アンサンブルに一定の収入を伴った通年の活動を提供し、音楽産業の中でアンサンブルが継続していくことをサポートしている「クァルテット・イン・レジデンス（その他のアンサンブルの形態も含む）」を調査することです。

既に基礎調査で142のクァルテット・イン・レジデンスをリストに計上していますが、継続的なレジデント活動の経験を持つ団体が他にも存在する可能性があります。他にレジデント活動の経験があるアンサンブルをご存知の場合はオンラインフォームよりお知らせいただけますと幸いです。
